With the aim of promoting a greener lifestyle and reducing the environmental impact of waste, UNIQLO Vietnam officially announces that it will discontinue the provision of free paper bags at all stores nationwide starting April 13, 2026. Customers are encouraged to bring and use reusable bags when shopping.

From the effective date, paper shopping bags will only be available at checkout counters at a fee of 2,000 VND per bag, in cases where customers have not prepared their own shopping bags. This fee is applied uniformly across all bag sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) and will be implemented simultaneously at all UNIQLO stores nationwide.



These paper shopping bags are produced from FSC-certified materials — an internationally recognized standard for sustainable forest management — contributing to the responsible use of resources.

The paper shopping bag fee is introduced to encourage customers to adjust their shopping habits by bringing personal or reusable bags, helping reduce waste and environmental impact. At the same time, customers can choose durable canvas tote bags or UTme! personalized tote bag, which are practical and suitable for long-term daily use.



This activity also kicks off UNIQLO Vietnam’s program to help protect natural resources and national forests. Part of the revenue from paper bags will be donated to the Gaia Nature Conservation Center to support tree planting and forest preservation in national parks and nature reserves. UNIQLO Vietnam will work closely with partners and share updates with customers in the future.

Gaia Nature Conservation Center is a non-profit organization established in August 2016 under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA). Licensed by the Ministry of Science and Technology on August 31, 2016, Gaia brings over 20 years of expertise in conservation. The center promotes biodiversity protection and environmental sustainability through forest planting and restoration, while connecting communities and businesses to build a greener future in harmony with nature.

  Yes. You can purchase shopping paper bags separately. Please visit the cashier counter where staff will assist you with payment, as paper bags are not available for purchase at the self-checkout counters. Customers may buy up to 99 bags per transaction.

  No, paper shopping bags cannot be returned once purchased. But if at the purchase time your paper shopping is damaged please ask our staff to exchange another one for you.
